Job Description:
Top Duties and Qualifications This position required to have a basic knowledge of the Dentistry.
The employee will be responsible for providing hands-on support to Dentist, prep the room on the basis of procedure, updating patient's records, Organizing dental tools and assist the doctor during the whole procedure.
Dental Assistant/Trainee Duties and Responsibilities Completing the Lab work with the instruction of the Dentist.
Prepare the dental rooms on the basis/type of the procedure.
Sterilize reusable the Instruments and making sure that Dentist have enough instruments through out the day.
Assist the Dentist through out the procedure and anticipating their needs.
Basic knowledge of the software so that they can update/upload patient's records.
Take and process patient's x-ray.
Asking patient about their Medical and Dental history, question them about any type of pain/concern and address to the Dentist if needed.
Clean and Sanitize the chair after completing the patient.
Advise patient to maintain Oral Hygiene.
What Does a Dental Assistant/Trainee Do? Dental Assistants can work at General Dentistry, Oral Surgeon, Orthodontist, Periodontist etc.
Their job is to help/assist the Dentist through out the procedure.
Educate the patient about what type of services the will be needing and give them instructions how to maintain Oral Hygiene.
Taking patient's X-rays and asking them about of any type of Problem or Concern.
Helping the Dentist by preparing the Exam table, holding the Dental Instruments like Suction tube, Mirrors.
Track on the Dental Supply and order if needed more.
Dental Assistant/Trainee Skills and Qualifications Dental Assistant Position holds a main part of the office after Dentist.
Their roles is to provide best customer service to the patient and making sure that the patient's visit stays smooth.
Their skill and qualifications also include:
Customer service skills to make sure that patient's dentist visit stays comfortable and keep them informed about their appointment and procedures.
Technical and troubleshooting skills to do quick fix about the computer or dental instrument/machine.
Organization Skills to maintain workplace clean and healthy.
Prior experience in taking patient's X-rays.
Knowledge of Dental Procedures and instruments.
